In Grug, you be caveman, survive wild land. Hunt, gather, build.
Grug must defend four shrines, Grug unlock shiny new crafting recipes.
But Grug must warn, like saber-tooth, game got bugs:
- Grug find strange thing - resources not always give stuff. Only for you, not for host. Sometime nothing, like empty berry bush.
- Creature sometimes dumb and get stuck - navmesh generation bug.

Super captivating! Spent a lot of time playing, could use some optimization, currently running from 50 to 7 fps inconsistently on a 3050. Other than that, great Proof of concept! Playable and fun to play! Also Grug
Good work. But i have 0-25 fps in gtx 1070. Totally unplayable :(. I realize it's the game's problem, not yours.
This is a copy of the Rust in s&box!
i think this is full huuyna
I love Grug and Grug loves me
Killed the giant slothy-boy, got immediately picked up by a dragonfly and tossed like a sallad. 5/5 would go gruggin again.
Cool and cute idea, but it is currently a buggy mess. NPCs don't do anything, weapons are weak, constant visual glitches(like shrine menu glowing in the dark), shrine protection is buggy as hell cos enemies are getting stuck in trees and rocks.
Grug is love. Grug is life.
Charming but has a lot of issues.
+ Theming: I like the theme of cavemen. Make me want talk like this. I wish there was more caveman-speak.
+ Emotes: I like the emote animations.
+ Multiplayer: Anything with functional multiplayer gets points for the effort required.
- Grind: Oofa doofa this is grindy.
- Awkward: Harvesting stuff, punching, etc feels weird. I feel like I have to be super close to the rocks and trees in order to hit them, in a way that doesn't feel great.
- Inventory bar: When you pick stuff up, it fills your hotbar slots, causing you to no longer be able to punch, because suddenly you've selected the thing you picked up. Really awkward.
- Originality: it's (basically) Rust but called Grug.
- I got a handful of red and orange errors pretty regularly and the framerate isn't great.
- UI is passable, but the crafting UI needs work. Why do I have to spam click everything to get multiples, no way to increase craft quantity or make 5/10x of something?
Refining all the wood and stone into cut wood and refined stone seems unnecessary.
- Why do trees just give you wood when you harvest them, but stone drops onto the ground when you harvest it? Seems weirdly inconsistent.
Grug eat Grug build Grug die Grug angry
